On 22 April, 2006, the general assembly took place in Driebergen.
Upon entering the building, members could buy or oreder publications of the Society...... look around on the internal bookmarket...... or have a chat at the bar.During the meeting...... Robert Pourvoyeur was made an honorary member of the Dutch Jules Verne Society.He gave a speech on the “semantics of Vernology”.Piet Akkerman, the Society’s archivist, resigned.Finally, Frits Schoute talked about living at sea.
